Explosive Jamaican opener Chris Gayle heads a group 3 West Indian players who have been named on the ESPNcricinfo’s all-time Indian Premier League XI.

Gayle, who plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, is the first player to score 10,000 runs in T20 cricket and is also the holder of the highest individual score in IPL history, a whirlwind 175 against Pune Warriors India in 2013.

Also earning spots on the all-time IPL XI were all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and mystery spinner Sunil Narine.

The ESPNcricinfo’s all-time IPL XI is completed by Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Lasith Malinga.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will serve as captain and wicketkeeper while South africa’s AB de Villiers was unanimously voted by the panel as the 12th man.
