And, even as funds are being sought to bury the 4 family members in Jamaica, relatives are reportedly uncertain that 27 year old Holt Francis, the husband of Karen, will survive.

His prognosis is said to be dire.

Ms. Stewart says she doesn’t think her brother-in-law will make it, adding that she is unable to even cry about the whole situation.

She also expressed anger at the woman whose child allegedly started the fire.

The mother of the 3-year-old reportedly failed to alert fellow residents as she fled the burning building.

Meantime, Foreign Affairs Minister Kamina Johnson Smith says her ministry is in contact with the relatives of the 4 Jamaicans who perished in a fire at an apartment complex in Bronx, in New York, United States, on Thursday.

The Office of Foreign Missions in New York, has informed Jamaica’s Consulate General in New York that four persons, who are naturalized US citizens, of Jamaican descent, were among the 12 fatal victims of the tragic fire.
