Chairman of Sandals Resorts international Gordon ‘butch’ Stewart wants the Windies to get back to the glory days and hence the reason he has decided to get involved by sponsoring the regional side for the next two years heading into the ICC World Cup in England next year.

Stewart held a private lunch on Wednesday for team captain Jason holder, as well as the team’s management staff.

In an address to his guests Stewart thanked holder for his efforts while praising the efforts of the team so far, he urged holder to impress upon his players the need for hard work in order to get back to the top of test cricket.

Holder, in response, said he was very happy for the assistance given to Windies cricket by sandals and he’s hoping that it continues.
