The government has assured manufacturers and exporters that steps are being taken to address their energy concerns.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness said a 2 pronged strategy is being employed as part of the government’s energy policy.

He outlined the steps while speaking at the Expo Jamaica opening ceremony, Thursday evening.

Mr. Holness noted that the government is seeking to introduce new forms of energy into the options available in the country.

These new green energy forms will impact business operations positively, as they are more reliable, available and affordable.

Mr. Holness added that government is serious about insulating the economy from energy shocks.
