Industry and Commerce Minister Audley Shaw has sought to assure investors in the real estate sector that government is implementing the necessary infrastructure and support systems to facilitate economic growth.

Speaking at the launch of the global business council, during the Realtors Association of Jamaica, International Realtors Conference, in St. James yesterday Shaw noted that developments in housing, road networks and airport facilities, have made access to business opportunities in Jamaica easier.

Shaw said government is aware of the need for sites that will promote the growth of small businesses.

He also noted the significance of infrastructure to global investment.

The minister said demand for commercial and residential infrastructure will increase.
