The country will know exactly how the entertainment sector will be re-opened after the cabinet meets on Monday.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness while answering questions at a press conference yesterday said the plan for re-opening the sector is in its final stage.

The Prime Minister’s statement follows the closing of the sector for almost two years, due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Mr. Holness was asked about unvaccinated persons attending events.

According to the Prime Minister, while he does not discriminate against unvaccinated people, scientific advice has indicated that large events create less COVID-19 threat if they are attended by vaccinated individuals.

As a result, he said a balanced approach must be taken.
