Gramps Morgan gets Caribbean American Heritage Award

Reggae singer Gramps Morgan, lead singer of Grammy-winning group Morgan Heritage, will be one of several awardees at the Caribbean American Heritage Awards in Washington DC.

Roy ‘Gramps’ Morgan, will receive the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Reggae Music Award’ for his works and contribution to the global brand of reggae music spanning 25 years, inclusive of key collaborations with R&B Soul singer India Arie, dancehall deejay Buju Banton, reggae singers Ziggy and Stephen Marley, and of course a Grammy win, in 2015.

The Caribbean Heritage Awards has been celebrating Caribbean excellence for over 25 years, by honoring emerging stars, and experts of Caribbean descent within diverse fields, who have made outstanding contributions to the community.

The 26th annual Caribbean American Heritage Awards is scheduled to take place today, Friday, November 22, in Washington DC.
