The National Council on Reparations, NCR, has been given a charge by Culture Minister, Olivia Grange, to be more proactive.

The council held a 3-day-retreat, at the weekend, to discuss their mandate, and gather data on proposals that will be submitted to the government later on.

NCR Deputy Chairman, Bert Samuels said, the council members discussed, among other things, policy and a road map on reparatory justice, both locally and internationally.

He said, the Ms Grange has urged them to act instead of only talking.
