Grief counselling is being offered to staff and students of the Vere Technical High School in Clarendon, following the sudden death of principal Antoinette Banton Ellis, on Thursday (May 12).

It‘s reported that she was at home when she complained of feeling unwell and was taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Senior Vice Principal of Vere Technical High School Mr. O‘neil Lewin, told Irie Fm News, that Banton–Ellis had a special interest in the overall development of students.

He described the late principal as an active, involved, hands-on person.

He said support has come from the ministry and the community.
