by April 10th, 2017

A number of social agencies have been providing support to students and staff at the Muschette High School in Trelawny, following the shooting death of one of its students on Friday.

Its reported that 16 year old student Shanique Rose of Content District in St. James was killed about 11:30 p.m. as she was on her way home from a birthday party with a group of friends.

The student is a close relative of a teacher at the institution.

Vice Principal at Muschette High, Dwayne Mulgrave says the school is receiving the necessary assistance to deal with the issue.

Mr. Mulgrave says exams have been taking place for grade 11 students while grade 10 students have been involved in regular class activities.

However, some students who are still in mourning are receiving counselling.
