Gyptian Wins African Entertainment Award

While some Jamaican fans may be wondering, where is Gyptian? The ‘Hold Yuh’ reggae singer has been holding his own in the motherland Africa.

Gyptian snagged two awards at the 3rd annual African Entertainment Awards USA in New Jersey.

Gyptian walked away with an Award of Achievement as well as edging out fellow Jamaicans Spice and Mr.Vegas, and Trinidadian soca star Machel Montano for Best Caribbean Artiste. With the award for Best Dancehall artiste going to Shatta Wale.

With afro beats now on the rise in the mainstream, the African Entertainment Awards (AEA) USA was created as a vehicle to support, celebrate, promote and uplift the achievements and advancements of Africans and Africans in the diaspora through all entertainment forms.
