The Hanover police are investigating the suspected drowning of a four-year-old boy, at a resort in the parish on Wednesday.

Dead is Oniel Syers of Seaton Cresent, Westmoreland.

Reports are that about 4 pm, Oniel was among a group of adults and children in a pool, when he began experiencing difficulties.

An alarm was raised the boy was retrieved from the water, but attempts to resuscitate him were not successful.

Oniel was pronounced dead at hospital.
