Hanover residents protest over bad roads and lack of water

by November 19th, 2013

Scores of Hanover residents who blocked sections of the Sandy Bay Main Road this morning (November 18), are promising more protests, if their call for piped water in the area, is not addressed.

The over 100 residents of Sandy Bay and Montpelier, who gathered along the roadway, say they also want the road network in their community fixed.

Boulders, downed-trees and other debris were used to block the roadway, which leads from Montego Bay to Negril.

The blockages caused a pile-up of traffic, which stretched some five miles this morning.
