Hapless West Indies ends New Zealand Tour winless

The West Indies ended their disastrous tour of New Zealand winless after being blown away by 119 runs in the third and final T/20 international contest in Maunganui today.

Man of the match Colin Munro smashed a solid ton of 104 off 53 balls to lead the kiwis to a challenging 243 for 5 from their allotted 20 overs.

Munro who became the first batsman to hit three T/20 international centuries also shared in a century opening stand of 136 with Martin Guptil who scored 63.

Carlos Brathwaite picked up 2 for 50, while there was   a wicket each for Jerome Taylor and Ryad Emrit.

Chasing 244 runs to win the Caribbean men crashed to 124 all out in 16.3 overs.

Chris  Gayle  faced  two  balls  before be went  without  scoring,   Andre Fletcher top scored with 46, while Rovman Powell and captain Carlos Brathwaite chipped in with 16 and 15 runs respectively……………. Ashley Nurse was left unbeaten on 14.

Bowling for New Zealand Tim Southee snatched 3 for 21, while Trent Boult and Ish Sodhi bagged two wickets apiece.

The disastrous tour for the Windies saw them losing the two match test series 2-nil, before being swept three nil in the one day internationals and 2-nil in the T/20 internationals.
