The Health Ministry is reporting 19 additional Covid-19 related deaths.

The deaths occurred between August 29 and 31.

The deceased are 11 females and 8 males.

Their ages range from 37 to 88 years

6 lived in St. Ann, 4 in St. Elizabeth, 4 in Westmoreland, 2 in St. Mary, 2 in Kingston and St. Andrew and 1 from St. Thomas.

The Covid-19 death toll is 1,568.

The Health Ministry says, there was 1 coincidental death, while 10 more deaths are under investigation.

Meantime, 572 new Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday (September 1), pushing the tally to 69,054.

The positivity rate is 40.2 per cent.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 167.

Followed by St. Catherine with 84.

669 persons are in hospital, among them 101 severely ill, 48 critically ill and 184 moderately ill.

There were 91 new recoveries.
