Acting Regional Director of the Western Regional Health Authority St. Andrade Sinclair has lamented, that too much focus is being placed on the issue of oxygen, when it should be on tackling the Coronavirus.

Mr. Sinclair said in recent days, the discussion on the matter of oxygen has taken prominence, over what is of greater importance – the virus and the vaccine.

He said more people need to be vaccinated, so that the pressure on hospitals, and subsequent need for oxygen, can be reduced.

Mr. Sinclair said for now, hospitals in the region have an adequate supply of oxygen.
