Holder six-for wrecks Bangladesh, seals WI 2-0 series win

West Indies captain Jason Holder was the architect of Bangladesh’s devastation with career-best match figures of 11 for 103, as the Windies strolled to an authoritative 166 runs win in the second Test at Sabina Park to complete a 2-0 series win, their first at home since 2014.

The Barbadian, who took 5 for 44 in the first innings, followed up with 6 for 59 as the visitors, set a target of 335 to level the series, folded for 168 in 43 overs.

Holder was named Man of the Match and Man of the Series for his efforts.

Roston Chase (2-20) was the next best bowler for West Indies while there was a wicket each for Shannon Gabriel and debutant Keemo Paul.

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan offered most resistance with a defiant half century knock of 54 while Mushfiqur Rahim got 31.

Earlier the Windies who started the third day at 19 for 1 were bowled out for 129 with Chase top-scoring with 32 against Al Hasan who claimed 6 for 33.

Final scores in the match West Indies 354 and 129, Bangladesh 149 and 168.
