Prime Minister Andrew Holness has sought to assure Jamaicans in the United States that government is on a mission to drive investment and growth.

He pointed out that Jamaica has tremendous potential that must be unlocked.

He was speaking to business leaders in Atlanta, Georgia at the Jamaica Atlanta business breakfast, yesterday (Apl 19).

The Prime Minister said partners overseas are excited about the possibilities Jamaica has to offer.

He pointed to government’s plan for human capital development, and to grow the economy.

Holness is expected to deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JamCham) of Atlanta awards ceremony, today.

A statement from OPM said the trip comes as the Prime Minister intensifies his engagement of stakeholders and members of the diaspora to encourage investments in Jamaica.

It also comes ahead of the eighth biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference which will take place June 16 to 20, in Kingston.
