A coastal protection project will commence in Annotto Bay, St. Mary, in June.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the revelation, during the opening ceremony for the Port Maria fire station, in the parish, today.

He said the coastal protection project represents a significant investment in St. Mary, as Annotto Bay has the potential to become a tourism gem.

He said protecting the area will help to build resilience and pave the way for its development.
