Ian Bell told by Magistrate that he was free to go …for now

People’s National Party Councillor for the Beecher Town Division in St Ann, Ian Bell has been told by a magistrate that he was free to go, after he turned up to court to find that there was no record of his case.

Mr Bell was facing charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failing to obey a constable’s command and speeding arising from an incident in St Catherine on May 3.

It was reported that Councillor Bell was signalled to stop by cops after he was allegedly caught speeding

Police say bell began to act boisterously, after which he was arrested.

His attorney Oswest Senior Smith says when he and his client appeared in the Linstead R-M Court , the case was not listed although Mr Bell was told to be in court today.
