IDT Rules in Catherine Barber’s favour

by September 25th, 2015

The Industrial Dispute Tribunal (IDT) has ruled that former General Manager of the ATL Pension Fund Catherine Barber was unjustifiably dismissed and must be reinstated before October 12.

Barber took her former employer to the Tribunal claiming she was unlawfully dismissed in April 2011.

The Tribunal ruled that if the former employer fails to comply with the order for reinstatement, then Barber must be compensated 200 weeks in total emoluments.

Ms. Barber says the manner in which she was dismissed was very unjustified, unwarranted and in total disregard of the labour relations code, as well as her dignity.
