India have consolidated their position at the top of the MRF tyres ICC test team rankings…..following the annual update….in which series results from 2014-2015 are removed and outcomes from the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons are weighted at 50 per cent.
India have stretched their lead over South Africa from four to 13 points after gaining 4 points to reach an aggregate of 125.
They also walk away with a cash prize of one million dollars.
The South Africans…….second on 112 after losing five points……take home 500-thousand.
They are followed by Australia who collect 200-thousand after overtaking New Zealand to finish third on 106 points at the cut-off date on April 3.
The top five is completed by New Zealand…102 and England 98.
The West Indies meanwhile have dropped to 9th on 67 points spot after losing five points.
The Jason Holder led team are now 8 behind 8th ranked Bangladesh who gained 4 points to reach 75.
