Ini Kamoze’s 1994 hit, “Here Comes The Hot Stepper” is featured on the movie soundtrack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, a 2022 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game franchise published by Sega.

Produced by Sly and Robbie, “Here Comes The Hot Stepper” was released as the lead single from Ini Kamoe’s 1995 album of the same name.

Ini Kamoze’s Here Comes The Hotstepper is played during the scene where Sonic is having fun and making a mess in the house since he was left at home alone.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was released in the United States on Friday, April 8, and features the likes of Jim Carey and Idris Elba.

Filming took place from March to June 2021 in Vancouver and Hawaii.
