Insurance companies are looking at how to incentivise motorists to install dash cams in their vehicles, to aid when determining liability in an accident.

Assistant general manager at Jamaica National General Insurance Andrea Gordon martin said the issue is being examined.

Speaking Thursday evening at a Road Safety seminar hosted by JN, Gordon Martin lamented that oftentimes, persons involved in an accident, are not truthful about what happened.

She said a dash-cam would be helpful, in settling claims faster.

She added that the dash cam would also help prevent fraudulent claims.
