Irie Fm won the award for excellence in reporting on children’s rights at the 2022 National Journalism Awards ceremony.

Reporter and presenter, Myesha Broadie topped 6 nominees to win the category with her documentary “Children’s Cry”, which highlights the effects of crime on the nation’s children.

Ms. Broadie was presented with the award during the press association of Jamaica awards ceremony, at the Courtleigh Auditorium in Kingston, on Sunday evening.

Master of ceremony, Ryan Dixon made the announcement.
