The island’s doctors are expressing concern about the number of crashes, taking place on the nation’s roadways.

148 persons have been killed on the road network, since the start of the year.

President of the Medical Association of Jamaica, Dr. Brian James, told Irie Fm News that this is a cause for concern.

He said the influx of crash victims is negatively impacting the treatment of other patients.
