Government has drafted a concept document for a crop loss and farm insurance scheme.

Minister without portfolio in the Agriculture Ministry, J C Hutchinson, made the announcement in parliament this afternoon (May 29) during his sectoral debate presentation.

Meantime, Mr. Hutchinson says, about $40 m dollars, intended to assist farmers with recovering from flood damage, was left unused at RADA offices, last year.

He says, in light of this, changes are to be made, to the production incentive programme.
