Like most events in 2020, the annual Summerstage concerts have moved completely online for a digital staging.

For the month of July, the series is expected to highlight artistes who purposefully reflect the great history and diversity of New York City Culture, voices from down the block, and around the world.

Jah9 is scheduled to appear this Sunday, July 12, for #PeopleSpeakSundays to be streamed on @SummerStage IGTV at 3 pm eastern.

Summerstage New York has also partnered with reggae label VP Records and challenged MC’s, lyricists, poets, and writers to post video entries of themself delivering a piece, for their chance to win a beat produced by VP Artiste and Repertoire rep and producer, Richard ‘Shams’ Browne.

The winner will also get the chance to premiere their piece on Sunday, during a Beats Workshop hosted by VP Records on the SummerStage’s Instagram Live at 2 pm eastern.
