Jamaica Cricket Association recipient of over 16 million dollars through IPL production fee

by July 26th, 2019

The Jamaica Cricket Association is today the recipient of over 16 million dollars from cricket West Indies as player production fee  from  the  Indian Premier  League.

The initiative which is still to be bought into by all the international boards……is so far supported by  Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and to a lesser extent the united kingdom.

It’s  the  result  of  a  2014  initiative  from the  Dave  Cameron  led  cricket  West  Indies……..which  sought  to  have  regional  boards   benefit  from the  exploits  of  some  of  the  biggest  west  indies  stars  in  world  cricket.

The over 16 million……acknowledged by Jamaica Cricket association president Wilford ‘billy’ heaven…..represents the fees handed over from the IPL .

Other regional Boards including Trinidad and Tobago cricket board are in line to benefit even more than Jamaica who was represented in the IPL by Chris Gayle, Oshane Thomas and Andre Russell.
