Jamaica falls one place on Transparency International’s 2021 Corruption Perceptions Index

Jamaica has fallen one place in Transparency International’s 2021 Corruption Perceptions Index.

 

The country moved from number 69 to 70, out of some 180 countries.

 

The ranking which was released this morning, saw Jamaica maintaining its 2020 score of 44 out of 100.

 

Transparency International notes that a country’s score is the perceived level of public sector corruption on a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 means highly corrupt and 100 means very clean.

 

Barbados has the highest score of all Caribbean countries on the list with 65 out of 100.

 

The country is ranked 29th on the global list.
