Jamaica has received a donation of medical equipment worth US$800,000 to assist in the Covid-19 fight.
The items include personal protective equipment, face shields, N-95 masks and oxygen concentrators.
They were donated by North Well Health in New York, USA, in collaboration with Med-share.
Jamaican born nurse Dr Sandra Lindsay- the first person in the US to be vaccinated against Covid-19, helped to organize the donation.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony on Friday , Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton said the donation is a manifestation of continued support and partnership from the diaspora.
