Jamaica records 1,207 new Covid-19 cases and 4 more deaths

Jamaica has recorded 1,207 new Covid-19 cases.

The overall case count is now 106,379.

Of the new cases, 740 are females and 467 are males, they range in age from 10 days to 97 years.

The positivity rate is 48.4 percent.

All parishes recorded new cases. Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest with 280, followed by St. James with 218.

Meantime, 4 additional persons have died from the virus, pushing the death toll to 2,506.

The deceased are 2 males and 2 females ages, 53, 78, 79 and 89.

They lived in St. Catherine.

The Health Ministry is also reporting two coincidental deaths.

Meantime, 362 persons are in hospital, among them, 110 are moderately ill, 28 are severely ill and 9 are critically ill.

76 more persons have recovered, pushing that tally to 66,751.
