Jamaica recorded 132 murders as at Saturday January 29.
This is 3 more than the 129 recorded in the corresponding period last year.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, St. James recorded the highest number of murders with 29, followed by Westmoreland with 14.
All other divisions recorded murders except Portland.
Meantime, there were declines in cases of rape, robbery and break-ins.
Rapes declined by 38, down to 19 from 57.
Robberies declined by 12, down to 85 from 97.
While break-ins dropped by 12, from 69, to 57.
