Jamaica records 5 additional Covid-19 related deaths and 30 new cases

Jamaica has recorded 5 additional Covid-19 related deaths, pushing the death tally to 2,298.

The deaths occurred between July 17 and November 8.

The deceased are 4 females and 1 male.

They range in age from 59 to 89 years.

They lived in St. Mary, Portland, Manchester, St. James and Hanover.

The Health Ministry is also reporting 1 coincidental death.

Three other deaths are under investigation.

Meantime, 30 new cases have pushed the country’s case count to 89,818.

Of the new cases 16 are females and 14 are males.

They range in age from 2 to 94 years

The positivity rate is 3.9 per cent.

Meantime, 156 more persons have recovered pushing the tally to 59,678.

218 persons are in hospital, among them are 29 who are severely ill, 12 who are critically ill and 31 who are moderately ill.
