Jamaica under-23 reggae boyz have been placed in group a alongside st Kitts & Nevis, Guyana and Dominica following the draw for the 2019 Concacaf men’s Olympic qualifying championship.
The tournament will determine which men’s under-23 national teams from the North, Central America and Caribbean region that will qualify for the Olympic football tournament in Tokyo, Japan.
16 Caribbean teams down to participate in the qualifiers which are set for July 17 to 21 at four venues which are yet to be decided.
Meanwhile group b includes Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Cuba and the US Virgin Islands.
Group c comprises Haiti, Suriname, Grenada and the Cayman islands while the teams making up group d are Antigua/Barbuda, Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia and Puerto Rico.
The group stage will be a round robin format and the winners will advance to a final playoff match, where the winner of each playoff game will qualify for the Concacaf men’s Olympic qualifying championship.
