Jamaican contingent for Regional Four Day Cricket Championship now in Trinidad

The Jamaican contingent for the third round of the regional four day cricket tournament, are now settled in Trinidad, ahead of the much-anticipated resumption of the competition on Wednesday.

The Scorpions led by John Campbell will be up against the Windward Islands Volcanoes at the Brian Lara Academy. 

The two players added to the Andre Coley coached team to strengthen the batting unit are West Indies batsman Brandon King and wicketkeeper Aldane Thomas . 

However King, along with batsman Nkrumah Bonner, will only be available for the Volcanoes clash, as they are expected to join up with the senior West Indies team for their tour of the Netherlands and Pakistan later this month.

The rest of the squad is completed by Jermaine Blackwood, Leroy Lugg, Oraine Williams, Gordon Bryan, Paul Palmer, Jamie Merchant, Marquino Mindley, Nicholson Gordon, Derval Green, Patrick Harty and Kirk Mckenzie.

Barbados pride lead the table on 42 points with Trinidad and Tobago Red Force 38.6 and Leeward Islands Hurricanes 24.6 rounding out the top three.

The Guyana Harpy Eagles on 21.4 points lie fourth, followed by Windward Islands Volcanoes on 10.9 points and Jamaica Scorpions on 8.8 points.
