Jamaica international basketballer Samardo Samuels is headed to play in the ACB Israeli Basketball League for club Maccabi Haifa .

The 28-year-old parted ways with ACB team Real Betis Energia Plus, after just one month on the roster, following reported disagreement with the team coach and a few of the players.

Both parties later had reached an agreement to terminate the contract.

The centre who previously played for Musette High school will enter his second stint in Israel having played for a few games with Hapoel Jerusalem in 2013.

Samuels, a former Cleveland cavaliers player, will also be part of Macabbi Haifi’s team during its current NBA tour which will see it play games against the Utah jazz, Indiana pacers and Portland Trailblazers .
