Jamaican race driver Fraser McConnell finishes fifth in Belgium

by May 13th, 2019

Jamaican race driver Fraser McConnell reeled off a series of top-three finishes in the qualifying and semi-final rounds of the rx2 international motor sports series in Belgium, but had to settle for a fifth place finish in the final yesterday.

McConnell began the day by winning his qualifying heat, then he finished third in his quarterfinal heat before finishing second in his semi-final.

All indications were that a podium finish was possible but it was not to be on the day for the Jamaican driver.

Despite his 5th place in the final, McConnell is third overall in the rx2 international series championship.

The next event on the schedule is May 25 and 26 at Silverstone, Great Britain.
