Jamaican student who fled Ukraine expresses gratitude, having safely travelled to Poland

Having fled war-torn Ukraine, one Jamaican student who was studying in the European country is expressing gratitude to various stakeholders, who assisted in getting him and 23 others to safety.

 

The 24 Jamaican students who fled Ukraine amid a Russian invasion, made it to Poland, last night.

 

The student is expressing gratitude to good Samaritans in Poland and the Jamaican government for getting them to safety.

 

He told Irie FM News that he plans to return to Jamaica shortly.

 

When asked if he would resume studies in Ukraine when there is a return to peace, he expressed uncertainty, noting that his focus is not on his studies at the moment.
