Distinguished Jamaican umpire Jacqueline Williams has been selected among a group of 13 match officials who will take charge at the upcoming ICC Women’s T/20 World Cup in South Africa.

The group of 13 comprises 10 umpires and 3 match referees who are all female……meaning the women’s T/20 World Cup will be the first global ICC event to be officiated entirely by women.

The tournament begins on bowls off February 10 with South Africa facing Sri Lanka in the tournament opener.

The west indies will bow into action against England a day later.
