Jamaica’s Anthony Watson produced times of 53.13 and 54.04 seconds in the opening rounds of the Men’s skeleton competition today at the winter Olympics in Pyeonchang.
The first athlete to represent Jamaica in Skeleton at the Winter Olympic Games is now in 29th position overall following his slides in heat one and heat two where he had his fastest ever starts at 4.91 seconds.
The American born Jamaican competitor with an overall time of 1-minute-47.17 seconds is 6.82 seconds behind the overall leader Yun Sungbin of South Korea who has a cumulative time of 1-minute-40.35 seconds.
Watson will wrap up his participation tomorrow when he contests heats 3 and 4.
