Jamaica’s Covid-19 hospitalizations have increased.

The Health Ministry says 52 persons are hospitalised with the virus, among them, 2 are critically ill and 12 are moderately ill.

Meantime, the positivity rate is 18.7 percent, this as 137 new Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday (May 8).

2 more persons have died from the virus.

The deceased are two females from St. Catherine aged 38 and 87, they died in March and May last year, respectively.

121 more persons have recovered from the virus.
