Jamaican born English actor, Michael Ward gave an emotional speech as he accepted the EE Rising Star BAFTA award at Sunday night’s ceremony which left his mother in tears.
Michael Ward won the EE Rising Star Award which was voted for by the public following his brilliant performances in Netflix’s Top Boy and the movie Blue Story, created and directed by Rapman. He plays Jamie in Top Boy, and Marco in Blue Story.
The EE 73rd annual British Academy Film Awards took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sunday evening.
