Jamaica’s senior women’s Volleyballers open on losing note

Jamaica’s senior women’s Volleyballers in the Dominican Republic will be aiming to regain lost ground when they battle the host team at 7 p. m this evening. 

Yesterday the Jamaicans opened with a 3 nil loss to Puerto Rico……..25- 19, 25 -10 ,25 -17 as the  winners sent down 21 aces.

Come tomorrow Jamaica will oppose Guatemala in a 4pm encounter.

The Jamaicans are seeking final round qualification from group a of this tournament. The Puerto Ricans are ranked in the top fifteen teams in the world.

In last night’s game against Puerto Rico Stephanie Enright was the leading scorer with 13 points as Daly Santana added 10 in the victory and Neira Ortiz contributed 7 points.

Aiko Jones had 6 points as the best scorer for Jamaica.
