by March 11th, 2019

United Arab Emirates – In four days of non stop fun, sight seeing, networking and training Jamaica’s Special Olympians have stood out in a positive way in the United Arab Emirates, specifically in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai ahead of the start of the Special Olympic World Games.

Blessed with the blend of the black , green and gold, the 73 athletes and their coaches have blended well with the residents of both cities, always leading the way in their dashing and flamboyant appearance and mannerism, while giving the people of the UAE a slice of the culture through an array of Dancehall dance moves.

Visits to the Els Golf Club in Dubai, the Al Foaa School for Girls and the Hilli Fun City (amusement park) have served them well to shake off any jet lag that could still be in the system while gaining invaluable experience and a real taste of the country.

There is still more to see, but for now the Jamaicans will be heading closer to competition site in Abu Dhabi, while only the contingents of Swimming and Athletics will head to Dubai where they will be based for competition.

The Games runs from March 14 to 21, and Jamaica will compete in Basketball, Bocce, Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Roller skating along with the aforementioned disciplines.
