Jamaica’s most wanted Marlon Perry, otherwise called Duppy Film, was fatally shot by the police in Port Morant, St. Thomas this morning (Sep 24).

One AK 47 rifle and two pistols along with a home-made gun were reportedly recovered from the scene.

Perry was wanted for the murder of two police officers, Corporal Kenneth Davis and Constable Craig Palmer, in December 2015.

He was also named as a person of interest in several shootings, rapes and other crimes.

There was a $1.5 m reward offered for the capture of Perry.

Head of the St. Thomas Police Superintendent Beau Rigabie says Perry was killed during a shootout with police who were conducting a raid.

Meanwhile, two persons are in custody for questioning following the fatal shooting of Perry.

It’s not yet clear whether the two persons were detained in connection to Perry.

However police say the two persons were in the vicinity where the confrontation occurred between Perry and the police.
