JAS pledges help to Bahamas

The Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) has expressed its willingness to support those who have suffered in the Bahamas.

 

JAS President Lenworth Fulton says, he is imploring Jamaica to support its neighbours who were affected by hurricane Dorian.

 

Mr. Fulton is urging Jamaicans to do what they can to support.

 

He added that, an account has been established with the First Global Bank, the Duke Street Branch, to help with relief efforts.

 

Individuals can make cash contributions using account number 1050236.

 

 

Mr. Fulton also suggested that Agricultural Minister Audley Shaw, make it possible to send items to the Bahamas.

 

 

Mr. Fulton also urged agricultural companies to donate food items through the JAS, as a part of the relief efforts for the Bahamians.

 

He was speaking at a press conference held today at the JAS office, in Kingston.
