Side-lined West Indies captain Jason holder continues to hold the number 9 spot on the latest release of the ICC player rankings for test bowlers.
The latest edition which sees no change in the top 18 positions continues to be led by James Anderson ahead of Kagiso Rabada.
Mohammad Abbas, Vernon philander and Ravindra Jadeja complete the top 5.
Shannon Gabriel at number 12 is the second highest placed West Indian on the rankings with Kemar Roach at 20……the only other bowler from the region inside the top 30.
Over on the batting rankings……Kraigg Brathwaite at joint 18th…..is the best placed West Indian……….followed by Roston Chase at number 30.
Holding the number one spot is Indian captain Virat Kohli with Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Joe Root and David Warner rounding out the top 5.
