Jason Livermore, will return to competition in February next year

Jamaica’s Commonwealth Games 200m bronze medallist, Jason Livermore, will return to competition in February next year.

Livermore, who represented Jamaica at the 2013 Moscow IAAF World Championships, is serving a two-year ban from the sport of track and field.

According to the IAAF records, Livermore date of infraction was December 16, 2016 out of competition, but period of ineligibility started October 26, 2017

It also listed period of disqualification as December 16, 2016.

The IAAF, in its listing, accepted the Kent gammon chaired independent anti-doping disciplinary panel sanction handed down in October 2017.

Gammon, at the time, said based on evidence presented, they did not believe Livermore intended to take the substance to enhance his athletic performance, but was negligent in applying for Therapeutic Use Exception (TUE).
