The group of Jamaican students travelling from Ukraine are on their way home.

In giving an update this afternoon, foreign affairs minister Kamina Johnson Smith explained that only 20 students are on the flight.

The others are elsewhere, and safe.

As it regards the cat, which cannot be allowed to enter Jamaica, due to the risk of rabies, the minister said arrangements are being made for the feline to be placed at a facility in Germany.
